Walt, I know how you feel. I have had something like that to me a couple of times. Once when I got hit on the sideline of the Philadelphia Eagles while shooting the game for work and the other time at a pro basketball game, I got hit by a very big player. Both times I sent the glass back to Pentax for repair. These were both manual focus glass, which were the 135 mm F 1.8 an the 300 mm F 2.8. The camera did not get hurt, which was a LX. At the basketball game, I was hit while holding the camera up to my eye, I do remember seeing stars, it was a hard hit....All was not lost because the newspaper paid to have the glass repaired..Hope you will feel better...Joe


Well, all I can say is that I'm utterly crestfallen today. Seems I dropped my K-x with the A 50/1.7 -- leaving the lens inoperable and irreparable. This is the last shot that will ever be taken with it.
