Lighting and the aerodynamic egret make for a pleasing combination. I have probably too many photo compositional hang ups, but one of my biggies is the frame positioning of a moving object. I "must" leave more frame room in the direction of movement than behind. Jack

Nothing about this is right, I headed out to the local nature preserve thinking I'd packed the A*300 my bag. But no I hadn't I had the Vivitar s1 70-210 which is a pretty nice lens, but just doesn't like working with the AF 1.7x adapter. However I made a go of it anyway. This is one of the best shots from this afternoon. Soft, with blown highlights, it was a dreary flat light day, which I would have thought would lower the contrast range enough to actually get good photos of Great Egrets... But here it is anyway. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1604247/PESO/PESO%20--%20withmoreegret.html Equipment: Pentax K20D w/vmc Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm f2.8~4.0 w/Pentax F 1.7x AF converter As usual comments are welcome but may be totally ignored. -- Don't lose heart!
