Razor sharp closeups of birds just show they are reptiles with feathers and not always good looking. Its their grace in motion or repose that makes them worthy subjects.

I do agree I prefer a little more room in front of moving objects generally even if I have to crop it. On the whole P.J. I think this photo works om most levels and needs no demure from the photographer.

Subject: PESO -- With more egret.

Nothing about this is right, I headed out to the local nature preserve thinking
I'd packed the A*300 my bag. But no I hadn't I had the Vivitar s1 70-210 which
is a pretty nice lens, but just doesn't like working with the AF 1.7x adapter.
However I made a go of it anyway. This is one of the best shots from this
afternoon. Soft, with blown highlights, it was a dreary flat light day, which
I would have thought would lower the contrast range enough to actually get good
photos of Great Egrets...

But here it is anyway.

As usual comments are welcome but may be totally ignored.

-- Don't lose heart! They might want to cut it out, and they'll want to avoid
a lengthily search.
