Both lovely photos. I admire your fortitude for not running away screaming from that
snake :) I think I prefer the second snake photo, with the grass "down".

Thanks, Dave. Hognose snakes are pretty tame - apparently when they get
really agitated they play dead, but I have yet to see one do that. There
is a lot of variation in their coloration - this one is the most yellow
/ gold color I've ever seen.
