A striplight is in fact a softbox, but a particularly narrow one. Eg: 1 foot by 4 or 6 feet. Yes, you could baffle your normal softbox to make a striplight out of it. That's the sort of thing that Benjamin Kanarek (an old PDMLer) does. He wrote it up in a tutorial here ... http://www.benjaminkanarekblog.com/2009/12/28/kinds-lighting-accessories-needed-sculpt-light-part-1/ >> Larry, be sure and check out http://fotodioxpro.com/ for info too. > > Good point, they've got more details there. Maybe they just wanted to reduce confusion by listing both even though they are aliases for the same thing. >> The eggcrates are velcro'ed such that they adhere to the inside lip of >> the softbox. Yeah, the Amazon listings are damned confusing. :-/ -- -bmw -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
