Tough call. My wisdom and experience puts the Tokina as the best
choice.  There are many aspects to a lens.  Sigma generally seems to
get sharpness pretty good, but has problems in other areas (build
quality, compatibility).  I have the ATX Tokina Pro II that you
mentioned and have found it to be quite good for a zoom.  It is very
solidly built and fairly heavy.  It also has quite good manual focus
feel.  I don't know how well the Sigma's are in that area.
