I've had the manual focus version of that lens for years and I really like it. It's pretty sharp for a zoom:

I really like how fast it is, especially with my K10D only going up to iso 1600. In the dusk that extra stop and a half really comes in handy. Decent bokeh, too. Major drawback is its size and weight, but that's the tradeoff for speed, I guess. Wish mine were AF. I envy you for that. ;-) Great price you paid for an excellent lens.
