Whales, hopefully. This time of year their migration comes very close to the shores of Southern California. Anyone have any suggestions on which lens to bring? I'm thinking my 300mm will suffice, but I'm not sure how close the boats'll actually get to the creatures. I'll probably bring along Provia 400F so I can get a couple of extra stops of handholdability in any case.
