I had never heard of Meantime Brewing before your post. After a little Googling, I'm keen to try their IPA someday (not that it will ever be available in Nebraska... I'll probably have to find it while visiting somewhere closer to "civilization". : ) Since every member of my family except me has visited London, I will have to put it down as one of my stops if I ever get the chance to visit.
I think the meantimebrewing.com website design is very classy looking. I was surprised to read that they are the ONLY UK brewer of IPA (now I can't find where I read that). I can hardly believe that to be true, considering that the IPA fueled the ships of the entire British Empire at one time. Have British taste buds so abandoned an appreciation for hop flavor? In any event, beeradvocate.com gives it a respectable score: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/5062/25231/ as did this blog reviewer http://www.thebarleyblog.com/2010/meantime-india-pale-ale/ Ratebeer liked it even better: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/meantime-india-pale-ale/48498/ I also tripped across this site, which purports to help you find beers by location near you (or other major U.S. cities, assuming you are in the U.S.) http://www.beermenus.com/beers/meantime-ipa All is not lost in Nebraska, IPA-wise. If any of you is passing through you owe it to yourself to find a Lucky Bucket IPA, brewed in our own LaVista, Nebraska. It has become my summertime drink of choice. http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/lucky-bucket-ipa/115220/ http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/19241/58539 -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
