You've convinced me to give the Q try - just bought a used Q Kit off
ebay (body, viewfinder, 4 lenses, bits & bobs). Order a K to Q adapter
as well. I'm out of town this week but hop to give it a workout next
weekend.
I am getting quite a kick out of using the Q.
Or was. My wife decided that she wants it.
It does remarkably well (don't push the ISO too hard), and the build
really does make it a pleasure to use.
The macro shots that Darren lined to were pretty impressive - but I am
also looking for a good compact general purpose camera for use when I'm
traveling for work or just bopping about. Currently a Nikon P6000 is
filling that role for me - not a bad camera and when everything comes
together it can kick out some good images, but I'm looking for a
replacement. My wife likes the P6000 though :
The higher ISO sample shots form the Q that I downloaded look pretty
good, but I seldom go above ISO 400 even with the K-5. Looking forward
to taking the Q out for a test!
