AF and AE are sure convenient. I've never owned an SDM lens but those are the ones that will adapt better to different formats since they don't have the screw drive. Even after clearing house recently, I realize that I still have four 50's: FA50 1.4, K501.4, SMC Tak 55 2.0 (screw mount), and a surprisingly light M50 f4 macro. I'm not counting the 8.5 mm (47 equivalent) 1.8 Q normal, of course. ;-)
