I'd like to add the Volvo 480, built by DAF in Holland with a Renault engine. We called it Cologne's fastest footbath, because each time it rained the footwell was flooded. Not enough with that, the 480 was one of the first cars to be controlled by some kind of computer. I'll never forget the night when I was the focus of all attention, standing on the busiest crossing in town, next to my 480 with the keys in my hand, while this sad excuse for a car was switching everything electric - lights, horn, front and rear wipers, windscreen washer, retractable headlights, you name it - on and off at 1 second intervals like an epileptic orchestrion.
