Market research has also shown that people are getting more and more *reluctant* to upgrade web browsers at all. Computers are not a hobby to many people these days: they're just a tool and most people want to fsck around with them as little as possible. My own experience has also shown that Windows systems are almost always more stable when they use the version of MSIE that came with the operating system (I'm using Win98 which came with IE 4.0 and that's what I'll stick with until I change operating systems). Netscape upgrades don't usually cause trouble, though. >My own thought is that if you are writing a page for a known >audience who has the latest and greatest, then go crazy and use >whatever suits your fancy. Yep, for corporate environments (intranets) this is fine. >If you write a page that requires Java to be enabled to view the >site, I will simply go elsewhere. Any page that requires that kind of stuff won't get any of my money. -- Mark Roberts www.robertstech.com - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
