It works (on a Galaxy S3), but it is NOT the same effect as shown on that webpage. The 'slit' exposes a 'normal' image, but time-sliced. (sort of an exaggerated rolling shutter effect) So, contrary to the examples shown, stationary objects (including the background) are NOT smeared over the whole image to form horizontal lines, but show quite normal. Moving objects get stretched, compressed or otherwise distorted depending on the exaction movements and speed. Would be cool if you could have the slit take the exact same subject spot, and write that left-to-right over the whole image area ...
