The 50A1.2 is the only manual focus lens that is regularly in my kit,
I use it pretty frequently in very low light mostly with success (no
worse that the k5's common inability to acheive focus lock in low
light). The lens ivs very sharp at f5.6, sharper than most other
lenses including the 50A1.4 and the K version of the 50/1.2 has quite
different characteristics, more halo and more flare, I doubt that the
coatings were as advanced. Over the years I've owned 2 x K1.2 and 5 x
A1.2 and one or more of every other Pentax 50mm lens that's been
produced, I only have one A50/1.2 now.
