I owned a Nikonos but used it sparingly. Two snorkeling vacations total. A wonderful piece of engineering but one of my first eBay sales. It just is not a camera to use on dry land, and I just did not need an underwater camera. I have a friend who dives extensively (and expensively) who owns the newest Nikonos, multiple UW strobes, etc. He gets great results!
