Then you bought the wrong size tripod.
...or bought several different tripods and didn't happen to have the
right one with you at the time. (This happens approximately 99% of the
time. It's just like lenses.)
That's why I have only one so there's no issue on which one I take !
I only had one until a few days ago, but carrying it on even short
bushwalks was a pain in the arse (well, back, actually). So I bought
the Manfrotto. It fits on my backpack, is strong enough to support
any camera/lenses I'm ever likely to use and it will be available when
I need a tripod even if I do have to extend the centre column. I'll
still use my main tripod when lugging it over long distances isn't an
issue.
