doesn't it seem like this building is going up a bit too fast?
not to mention it's a hideous building

I don't quite see the hideousness, but I have no idea what was there
before.
It looks like one of those all mirror-glass buildings that once it's
finished, all you'll see is what's around it to be reflected. If the
neighbors are attractive or interesting it might not be so bad.
