So, I'm actually intrigued by the K-5's video capabilities, and like the fact that it has an external mic input for stereo sound. I even went so far as to download Adobe Premier last night, in the event I want to actually do something creative with it.

But, I'm curious about how much I can expect to pay for decent sound out of a mic. I'm not looking to win any Oscars for sound engineering, or anything. But, I would like it if my videos sounded decent on a higher-end A/V setup.

Is producing good quality A/V another huge investment I can't afford, or can it be done reasonably well on a shoestring budget?
