You know, it occurred to me just after I sent that message that I have a good friend going back to my high school days who does video production for a living (and is a pretty damned good photographer to boot). He's offered me the use of his photo gear before (Canon shooter), and I can't imagine he'd balk at letting me use a digital recorder (or anything else for that matter).

My biggest challenge audio-wise at this point, it seems, will be mixing with tinnitus.
