It's quite simple to just have fun shooting video on the K-5. I've done a number of them. I edit on iTunes, which is not as powerful as professional tools but lets you do things like frame by frame positioning, different types of cuts and dissolves, placement and modulation of audio, and more. It's plenty for a novice editor like me.
