Pentax Eyepieces, either the anything but cheap, (in price anyway).
standard rubber covered plastic or the slightly more expensive O-ME53
magnifying eyepiece, all after a few years have the rubber begin to
break down. Is there anyway to repair them, say order a replacement
rubber cover?

These damned things are pretty expensive for what they are and
replacement rubber couldn't be more expensive, especially for the O-ME53.

The last time I had to replace the eyecup on my K20D, I couldn't find a Pentax branded part and ended up buying a cheap generic one made for one of the Canon Rebels. All I had to do to fit it was make a cutout for the diopter control.

Amazon is showing two different replacements for "Pentax Eyecup FO" that are supposed to fit "PENTAX K-M K2000 K20D K10D K200D K100D Super K100D K110D"; both at $7.99.

The image they show looks like the Eyecup FP rather than the FO.
