Blow the surface of the lens off or wipe with a camel hair brush to remove any 
particles. Spray it lightly with lens cleaner and wipe gently with a microfiber 
cloth. Repeat if necessary. I have to do that from time to time with all my 
lenses. It's not a problem. That coating is some pretty tough stuff.
