And you bet I used the supplied hood, took reasonable care and stayed
from dirty or wet places.
I only use filters for effect, not lens protection and i get those
spots and grime on the front element all the time. My blower and micro
fibre cloth are my friends
As far as I can remember, I have twice replaced damaged filters where I
could not have afforded to replace the underlying glass.
