I use one when I need a standard zoom, usually when traveling. The 24mm wider end is very nice. It is sharp but not outstanding and is a bit prone to CA. The reverse zooming action (lens is longest at the wide setting) means that you sometimes can't use the internal flash when shooting wide and close (the lens barrel will lay a huge shadow out into the image.) Overall, I would say it is comparable in quality to the 18-55 but with a little better (for me) zoom range due to the wider short end.

Anyone here use the 16-45?
How would you evaluate the results you get?
I'm looking for a carry-around for people shooting (dance studio).
And this is half the price of the 16-15/2.8.
Hopefully it produces a high quality image.
