It's nice to see someone who understood the implications of my estimation.

A leaf shutter on 35mm could be a marketplace coup.
The MZ-S (or any other Pentax body) with a leaf shutter lens (perhaps triggered by the
aperture mechanism or lens-to-chip communication) would allow for 35mm to be far more
versatile that it is. And, it could be done with standard flash units instead of
modifying both the flash and body.
But alas, Pentax hasn't done this. So all I can do is hope.

Also, even in medium format, having lenses of the quality improvement provided by the
Limited series would be a big plus for Pentax. Every film format has its outstanding
and average lenses. People in LF know of the difference between your basic triplet
designs, like the Rodenstock Geronar or Schneider Angulon, and how the results differ
from a Schneider APO-Symmar. Even with a film of this size, the difference is visible.

Do this in medium format and a whole new race will begin. In this arena Pentax could
be an immedate leader, way out in front of the competition. It would be difficult to
find a reason even to pick up a Contax or Mamiya, with a Pentax Limited lenses
available.

I feel like I am turning into one of those surely, annoying people, so this
is going to be my last post on Pentax and digital.

Item 4. As an example of the way all you seem to think. Studio pros use
studio strobes, not auto pzzzzt, bang automated hot shoe mounted rinkidinks.
Studio strobes do not have the buzz flash that allows a focal plane shutter
to seem to sync at all speeds. Now, if you don't understand what I mean by
buzz-flash you don't know how flashes like the 360 work for so-called high
speed sync. But then, in my rather arrogant opinion you don't know much
about professional photography either, except maybe for the highly visible
Wedding and News stuff where on camera flash is the norm, not the miniscule
exception.
