Read some of the responses and Scott Bourne's comments on them, and it devalues his arguments when he insults people like Tobias W. Tobias may not be correct in everything he said, but there is no need to adopt the tone and phraseology that Bourne does. Like some others on this list, I still use film and process my own for B&W, but use a lab for C41 material (have only stopped using E-6 because I can't find a source for developing kits in Australia). It is insulting to assume, as Bourne does, that the images made by me and others like me are always inferior to those he and other digital users produce: if he can produce digital work of the quality shown by Adams and others of the film-era masters, I'd like to see it. Otherwise sensible advocacy of digital for some purposes is invalidated by an unforgiving posture and an inability to accept a different point of view.
