A month or so ago I was expereincing problems accessing funds in my account from Paypal. The funds were placed there by a fellow PDML member who purchased a lens, at my request. I still can't get the money out!! Just when I thought I was getting close, they designated my account as "Restricted". I'm not sure on what basis this happened. Lets be clear about this, they owe me money, not the other way round. They have already deducted a small fee to have me as a member. Now, the advice they have provided in order to get "unrestricted" is thus -
Fax a copy of current Driver Licence or ID and a copy of a recent Credit Card Statement (specifically for the credit card used to extract the joining fee) to Paypal. What gives?? When are they going to ask for a tissue sample??. I can partially understand a situation like this if I was after some sort of credit or something, but I'm not. Just give me my bloody money!! Sorry for the ramble, please note that my fellow PDML' er is not at fault in way regarding this, he's acted in good faith at all times and couldn't have forseen the trouble I'm having with Paypal.
