I find it helpful to occasionally peruse my old photographs from long ago. 99% of the time I wonder how I could ever have considered those shots worth taking, much less worth keeping. (I tell myself this is good: It means my standards are going up so I must be improving.) But every once in a while I stumble across a gem perhaps taken with a basic camera and/or cheap lens and think "Wow, that's good!
