There are some funny people on Twitter. After he was captured one guy tweeted: "Tip: if your escape plan involves a boat it should also include water."
I don't know if they ever got as far as having an "escape plan". Looks to me like they never even considered the possibility they might get caught. The news reports were saying the younger one went back to school on Tuesday & Wednesday and even offered to give one of his friends a ride home on Friday afternoon.
