I'm still researching tripod heads. It'd be nice to be able to plop down infinite money and know that I'm getting something that is better than I need, but I still have to optimize my cash flow.
I just ran across a review of a 3 legged thing system, and their ball head is rated for 40Kg (88 pounds), seems to get good reviews, and is only $240. (there is a slightly lower spec, less expensive version as well). This system could be the next big thing, and great value for the money.
