Baby bird was just sitting on top of the hedge next to the sidewalk.
It seemed to think that nobody else existed for any purpose other than 
to feed it.  It's sibling was a little more shy and stayed inside the 
hedge.  Momma bird was going apeshit, divebombing everybody that walked 
past, and doing a great job of calling attention to her babies.

My friend might even have gotten a picture of me photographing baby
with Momma sitting on my head.

The 18-250 is a surprisingly sharp lens. combine that with you'll need to 
crop a lot less with it than you will with a prime, and when the dust settles, 
you're likely to end up with nearly as good of resolution.
