You know, you're absolutely right.

The older cancer treatments work for a lot of people, so there's no
real reason to look for anything better. They're relatively cost
effective and good enough in most cases.

The same is true of diagnostic technology, it works now, so why try to
do it better?

To me it's about the patient, not the technology.
