Frankly, if you were a Pentax shooter and you were considering spending $2500 for this lens, you would get more bang-for-the-buck by purchasing a Sony A900 (24.3MP Full Frame with Sony Exmor sensor & in-body image stabilization) and then getting the Zeiss 135mm f1.8 (for Sony) for a total outlay of about the same amount of money. You'd give up the 1.5x longer FOV, but in exchange get more megapixels and a full frame sensor.
