Resurrecting this thread because there was a post on Lens Rentals about the lenses with the highest frequency of repair and the Rokinon 85mm f1.4 was pretty darn high on that list. http://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2013/08/lensrentals-repair-data-2012-2013
Thought that might be of interest to some. Perhaps it is still true that you get what you pay for.
