When it comes to quality lenses, you certainly do. On the other hand, treated with care by a single owner, the Samyang 85/1.4 should last a long time. LensRentals.com rents to a lot of people at all skill levels, and "who knows what care" they handle rental equipment with.
Of course, the SMC-Pentax FA77/1.8 Limited is one of Pentax' finest lenses so it's a little crazy to compare it with an inexpensive Samyang.
