Thought that might be of interest to some. Perhaps it is still true
that you get what you pay for.
As far as usable longevity goes, I'll put up my near complete set of SMC
Pentax -K lenses up against
any Pentax K mount lenses. They are precision made, superb optics,
virtually all metal and glass and have very little to go wrong
with them. That equals long (my)lifetime durability.
