Greetings from Idaho, Winterhawk Photography, Inc. is coming along slowly but surely. I'll be happy to be busy when all of this start-up business is done.
Despite a very slow start, I'm beginning to get business...if it could only pay. : ) I'll be making a photograph of 'lighting a match'. We'll see how that goes. More to the point: I am looking into shooting for the local Motocross tracks (there are several in Idaho). I am looking for a cheap, decent quality zoom lens. I'm not really happy with any of the 80-200 offerings (unless anyone can offer an opinion on a good one) so I am looking at the 80-320 or 100-300 pentax. I visited my local camera store and tried the lenses out again. I'm pretty familier with both, but now I am looking at them from the other side of the counter. I found test results on the 80-320 in Pop. Photo (May 1996), but none on the 100-300. The 80-320 did all right, but I would like to see a comparison before I buy. Anyone prefer one over the other? Expreinces with either that would help my decision? Any other suggestions (does not need to be Pentax, but AF and around $200 US). Thanks.
