During my workshop last week we did a touristy sunset boat ride along the
Pictured Rocks area of Lake Superior. About half-way through the ride it
started raining and didn't let up for 45 minutes or so. Everyone on the upper
open deck scrambled to the covered portion below. A few of my fellow
workshoppers huddled in the entrance to the down-below, occasionally ventured
out for a quick snap, their cameras covered with a plastic bag. I stood in the
rain in the aft corner of the boat, the ideal viewing/photography spot, and
nobody was jostling me as continued to shoot. It was great! Though I wish the
light had been better.
