Once upon a time I was shooting breaking waves with my Pentax 6x7. I'd snap a fairly close shot then run up the [gravel] beach so my feet wouldn't get wet. The inevitable happened and I slipped over while running. On the way down I had the presence of mind to extend my arm to keep the camera out of the water, so while I was soaked from head to toe the camera was fine. My wife found it quite entertaining... such a pity she didn't get a photo.
