I see no issues with posing/composition. You weren't doing studio shots, but
rather capturing small slices of time in a dynamic (and fun!) party. Your

Two post-processing "issues" -
a. could be my monitor settings, but many of the earlier ones in the set
look a bit washed out.
big problems there - the washed out comes from elements shadows/highlights
overkill. I had to work so fast I wasn't chimping and adjusting exposures.
Can you back off on Highlights and/or Lights with the tone curve? Or nudge
exposure lower?
Of course. You can control every point in the range without affecting other
values.
I need a crash course inthat :-)

b. the last few look like victims of high-ISO noise. That could be cleaned
up pretty easily . . .

Elements 5 doesnt clean it up easily... I tried. but I have big gaps in these
aspects of elements because I generally just discard that stuff. Here, I just
liked a couple of the scenes I caught because
I know the people. The very last one, bride in the middle, too
damn much noise but I'm not good enough with Elements to get rid of it.

Pretty much a disaster - terrible light on the terrace
Fortunately there were a lot of people shooting - I'm glad I got my K5
paid for, but I would rather have not done the posed pics -
This is a small Geso - I feel ok about most of them - meaning
not too embarrassing.
I had put 75 up to start and it was just too awful.
