Brian, I think those are for eating. We bought such a string of them in the Santa Fe market. They were a gift for my son and daughter in law to cook with. We put them in the hotel room and at bedtime had watery eyes and runny noses. We put the string of peppers hanging out the window until we left. The kids hung them in the kitchen for a while, pulling off a pepper or two when cooking. After a little while, they weren't hanging in their kitchen any longer. They are strong peppers.
