Photokina was the one I was thinking about, but I thought it was an

There's Photokina in September, but it's every other year, and this ain't it.
Also, Pentax rarely announces new cameras at trade shows. New product
tends to be announced as soon as it's ready, whether that comes just
before, just after or nowhere near a photo trade show.
Yeah, but that was when Pentax was on its own or owned by Hoya. Ricoh
seems to have exerted a lot more control over the brand recently, so
now we have to take their announcement habits into account. When does
Ricoh usually announce new stuff?
