Pretty much what i said as well. Cotty's question resolves to "is my mount registration off?" And "how to use the DoF scale?"
All DoF scales are created with an implicit magnification of the full format to a reference output with a known magnification (an 8x10 inch print from the source format for which the lens was intended). Without that, there are no standards by which to estimate the DoF .. You might as well just say to tickle the settings until it feels good to you.
