I've seen this article brought up over and over again on several lists in the
past two weeks. To me, the most salient statement in it is this:

"What Does It Mean in the Real World?

Like a lot of laboratory testing, probably not a lot. Adapters couldn’t all
stink or people wouldn’t use them. Like a lot of tests, you can detect a very
real difference in the lab that doesn’t make much difference at all in the real
world. "

I've been using lenses on adapters for almost a decade. Heck, several OEM Leica
lenses were made with different mount adapters for different purposes, like my
Hektor 135/4.5 ... RF focusing mount, short helicoid mount for the Visoflex,
short mount for the bellows + Visoflex.

If there are noticeable issues in imaging quality due to the mount, it is
99.99999% of the time an adapter that is WAY out of spec, obvious with only
minor inspection. I honestly don't know why Roger even posted that article ...
Just another way to cause fear and panic amongst the easily confused.
