I've bought nine AF lenses in the past 5 years and they all came with the good rear lens cap. The one that bayonets on and has the "lip" type edge that protects the electrical contacts. Perhaps the good folks Alan has been buying from have been replacing the rear caps that come from Pentax with cheap ones for reasons of their own.
