I think that "aside from" is a biggie. If you break the connection between the O-GPS1 and the camera (or turn off and back on the O-GPS1) you have to go through the "precise calibration" all over again. I already have an actual Telrad on my 8" dob (would just need to get another base for it). I also have a BSA red dot sight that I got to hot shoe mount to try to do birds in flight: http://www.lonewolfephotos.com/Birds-in-Flight-BIF/Panasonic-FZ30RDS-Birds-in/899628_G4b8hk#!i=82073477&k=DZJXj8j Either one would work, but I just need to figure out a compact clean way to mount them together and assure that they are pointing at the same place. By the way, for those who want to mess with DeepSkyStacker themselves, this is a nice "just do this" tutorial to get you started: http://flintstonestargazing.com/2009/06/26/my-quick-deepskystacker-tutorial/ -- Nothing is sure but death and Pentaxes. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
