If you're not happy with that approach, do a search for "red dot
hotshoe finder" (on eBay or your favorite Chinese junk vendor) and
you'll find $30 hotshoe-mount Telrad knockoffs. I can't vouch for
their quality, but they might work well for your application (aside
from having to swap between the O-GPS1 and the finder).
