I've seen the Roadmap but haven't given it much thought (apart from noting the 1.4x TC), The encouraging element here for me is that it seems more like Ricoh is really serious and that the projected lenses are not just some vague notion of something that might maybe possibly happen someday but only if all the stars align just right and some mid-level manager had a good night the night before. . .
"Corporate commitment" is the phrase that comes to mind. Maybe it is just about a really good sales VP who has been successful in communicating an optimistic tone down through the sales and distribution rank and file, but it really seems more positive than that. The nice thing about a large profitable company is that a management with a long-term strategic vision can realize that every single product does not have to make a profit.
