I'm Jewish, Bill and I pride myself in being an amateur photographer. I
suppose I am also an amateur pessimist. Now, I think that as a
photographer I am not half bad... It is up to you to complete this line
of reasoning :-).
I'm not saying that Ricoh is doing badly by finally making proper
investment (in all terms, not just money) into Pentax. Rather, I
sincerely believe that all that rumor mill is not doing company any
good. Each time there is a new release from Pentax, the rumor mill
starts anew. This creates illogical expectations, starts new flame wars
on internet forums and ultimately leads to people being disappointed.
Pessimistic or not, I don't see any good in these things.
